WVB: Fisher earns CW Student-Athlete Community Service Award
UFV Cascades fifth-year setter Kinna Fisher has been named the Canada West Student-Athlete Community Service Award winner, the first player in program history to earn the honor. Mark Broome named interim head coach and general manager for women’s volleyball
The UBCO Heat women's volleyball team has named long-time assistant coach Mark Broome as interim head coach and general manager for the 2026-27 season. Broome, a former Heat men's volleyball athlete and Kelowna native, replaces Steve Manuel who announced his retirement. Broome has extensive coaching experience including work with the Canadian Sitting Volleyball national team and Team BC. The search for a permanent head coach will begin after the season.
